Obama: Pro-Choice
Even since the 2008 election, President Obama has been unwavering on his abortion stance. Very early on, Obama has made it clear that he is pro-choice. The President is in full support of the Roe v. Wade act and is committed to protecting this constitutional right. In his healthcare plan, Obama has made so that contraceptives must be provided for women enrolled in workplace health plans. Recently, if you have noticed, the Obama administration and the Democratic party have aired adds directed towards women. These adds highlight Romney's support to repeal Roe v. Wade, quote him saying that contraception is a "war or religion" and the fact that Romney would like to repeal Obama's healthcare (or the term popularly coined by Romney - Obamacare).
Romney: Ah, Um, Well
To be honest, who knows where Governor Romney stands on abortion. Back when he ran for Senate in 1994, Romney was pro-choice - since that time he has flip-flopped between pro-choice and pro-life. Now, currently, as of November 1, 2012 Mitt Romney is pro-life...with EXCEPTIONS. It seems as the Governor has made his way through his political career, he has gone further and further to the right, if you will. Unlike the president, Romney is in support of repealing Roe v. Wade. If elected president, Governor Romney plans on ending Title X - the program which funds Planning Parenthood (this program supports women who need abortion services, birth control, breast cancer screenings, etc.). Not only does Romney oppose abortion, he opposes birth control. What is this the 50s? How 'bout you give women a say? Romney DOES, however, provide EXCEPTIONS to his pro-life stance. If a woman has faced rape, incest, or mortal danger, she would be allow access to abortion.
If you can't tell by my biased pictures and sarcasm, I am in support of Obama's pro-choice stance. It is absurd to assume what is best for women and to not provide the tools and services necessary for a successful life (on both fronts - whether a woman decides to have a child or not). If Romney were voted into office I feel that this would be a giant step back for our country, especially on these social issues.
I will, however, despite my opposition to Mitt Romney, quote him from his 1994 Senate debate against Ted Kennedy:
"One of the great things about our nation, Sally, is that we're each entitled to have strong personal beliefs, and we encourage other people to do the same. But as a nation, we recognize the right of all people to believe as they want, and not to impose our beliefs on other people."
I will give the man credit. I believe this is aptly put and put it into the context of yours and my political preferences. Let's all make a well informed decision come election day! Hopefully everyone votes!

These were pretty helpful. On the first one, there is a video of Governor Romney speaking on the issue.
I know my parents hate to hear it but, I am pro-choice as well. I remember when I learned that birth control had been illegal and was shocked. Too many dads run out and leave single mothers with nothing. I support Obamas stance on this.
